About us
The events of Italian towns, in one place
Food festivals, patron saint feasts, concerts, markets: they happen everywhere, but finding out about them is a lottery. Piazza in Festa collects them from a source nobody ever looks at, the official records of the municipalities, and puts them on a map. Free, for everyone.
The problem
The events of an area live scattered: a poster on a pole, a post that scrolls away, a PDF buried in the town's public records. So you find out about the festival in the next village on Monday, when it's over. It's not the will to go out that's missing, it's one place to find everything.
What we do
Every week we read the records published by the municipalities, ordinances, resolutions, public land permits, and extract the events: what, where, when. We clean them up, geolocate them and put them on a single map. You open the site, look at your area and see what's on this weekend. No account, no app to download.
Why we're different
Others wait for someone to upload the event. We start from the official source, so we don't depend on anyone's good memory: if the town authorized it, sooner or later we find it.
- Fresh data: we re-read the municipalities' records every week.
- All of Italy: we read the official records of towns in all 20 regions, from Sicily to the Aosta Valley.
- Everything on a map: the events near you, not an endless list to filter by hand.
Our philosophy
For anyone looking for an event, Piazza in Festa is and stays free. What keeps it running is a handful of transparent ad slots, the gold slots, at one price for everyone. No auctions, no data sold, no pushy notifications. We explain everything here.
